Summary

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Desktop Support Technicianto join a small onsite IT team supporting a busy manufacturing environment. Due to increased project demands and growing IT support needs, this individual will play a key role in providing hands-on technical support for approximately 500 users and 200 devices.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent customer service skills, and a desire to learn and grow within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position requires someone who can work independently, quickly resolve technical issues, and effectively support end users while managing a high volume of support requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite desktop support for approximately 500 end users in a manufacturing environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printer, and peripheral issues.
  • Support Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other end-user devices.
  • Support Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Teams, and other business-critical software.
  • Manage and resolve incidents through the ticketing system, ensuring timely closure of support requests.
  • Diagnose and resolve workstation performance, connectivity, and application issues.
  • Work closely with a small IT team to support ongoing projects and daily operational needs.
  • Escalate complex issues when necessary while maintaining ownership and communication throughout the resolution process.
  • Assist with device deployments, upgrades, and refresh initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and technical solutions.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support to employees at all levels of the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of IT Support, Desktop Support, or End User Support experience.
  • Experience supporting users in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Windows 10 and Windows 11 administration and support.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting printers and end-user devices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong ticket management and incident resolution experience.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a manufacturing environment with 250+ users.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certifications, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting multiple systems, business applications, and operational processes.

This is a Contract position based out of Clinton, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
