responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines primarily on AWS.
Work extensively with AWS services, including S3, Lambda, and Glue.
Develop and maintain code using Python and PySpark.
Build and integrate APIs leveraging FastAPI or similar frameworks.
Use GitHub or GitLab for version control, ensuring clean and maintainable code.
Apply Liquibase for database versioning and schema change management (mandatory).
Contribute to AI-enhanced data engineering initiatives (nice to have).
Work with prompt engineering, Markdown (MD) files, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) concepts when applicable.
Present and walk through previous projects to demonstrate hands-on experience and problem-solving capabilities.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a Data Engineer (approx. 90% of role focus).
Strong AWS experience: S3, Lambda, Glue.
Proficiency in Python and PySpark.
Experience with FastAPI or similar API development frameworks.
Proficiency with GitHub or GitLab.
Liquibase experience is mandatory.
Bachelor's and Master's graduation years must be provided.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
~10% AI implementation experience within data engineering workflows.
Familiarity with:
Prompt engineering
Markdown documentation
RAG concepts
Ability to clearly articulate past project work and technical decisions.
