Title: Technology Engineer III
Job Location: 1 Seneca Street, Buffalo, NY 14203. Position requires in-office work four (4) days every week.
Job Description: Work closely with Technology management, senior Engineers, and support teams on a regular basis to implement and manage the design, development, and execution of technical solutions that meet or exceed current and future needs of the organization; Responsibilities include infrastructure review, implementation, and design, creation of support and architectural documentation, standards, policies, analysis, and testing; Regularly and independently interact with business partners of varying associate and management levels to ensure clarity of the problem/opportunity and elicit business requirements; Coordinate vendor interactions and/or vendor resources as needed; Review documentation, proposals, and changes proposed by less experienced staff; Seek to expand knowledge and understanding of Financial Services trends, practices, and technologies on a continuous basis; Follow and promote use of industry best practices, standards and procedures; Adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite; Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management; Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or a related technical field plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Technical Engineer, Software Engineer, Systems Engineering, or related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or as or as Technical Engineer, Software Engineer, Systems Engineering, or related occupation, in lieu of a Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience.
Position requires five (5) years of experience in each of the following:
- Implementing version upgrades, migrations, fix packs, and hotfix deployments for application middleware using IBM WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, IIS, Spring boot, and other Java-based platforms that ensures compatibility, security compliance, and optimized performance;
- Developing PowerShell, Shell Scripting, Batch, and JSON scripts for system administration and deployment and creating CI/CD runners for application deployments including .WAR, .EAR, and .NET;
- Conducting SSL certificate renewals and other Azure DevOps functions that adhere to SDLC concepts;
- Implementing and tuning Elastic Stack infrastructure, including Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana, to ensure optimal performance;
- Monitoring system performance, metrics, and search capabilities;
- Optimizing search functions, and configure system monitoring for log analysis, alerting, and dashboarding of metrics through Kibana.
- Maintaining Artifactory for build artifacts, version control, and optimized deployment processes.
Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following:
- Managing IBM FileNet, Kofax Capture, Kofax TotalAgility, and Inspire Quadient CCM for workflow automation and document processing.
Salary: $121,875.00 - $131,875.00
