Summary

The Data Analytics Lead Analyst is a senior-level, strategic professional responsible for driving enterprise-scale Data Governance, Data Quality, and Data Lineage capabilities across Compliance domains, including AML and KYC. This role serves as a recognized subject matter expert, contributing to directional strategy and delivering audit-ready data governance solutions aligned with Citi's Compliance Data Governance Program (CDGP) and regulatory expectations.

The role requires deep hands-on expertise, strong partnership with Compliance, Operational Risk, and Data Engineering, and the ability to influence across functions to ensure consistent, transparent, and controlled data practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of Enterprise Data Governance frameworks, including Data Quality, Data Risk Taxonomy, and Data Lineage, across Compliance domains such as AML, KYC, and Regulatory Reporting.
  • Partner closely with Compliance, Operational Risk, Technology, and Data Engineering teams to embed governance and control requirements into upstream and downstream data flows.
  • Support and lead complex data integration and transformation initiatives, including sources and platforms such as RegEd, Appian, and other enterprise compliance systems.
  • Drive end-to-end data mapping, metadata standardization, and lineage documentation across critical reference and Compliance data assets.
  • Contribute to target-state data models, regulatory data remediation programs, and Data Issue Management initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Design and implement data control, lineage, and traceability frameworks that integrate Compliance data providers with consuming applications to support audit-ready, sustainable governance practices.
  • Serve as a recognized technical and domain authority for Compliance Data Governance, influencing standards, best practices, and cross-functional delivery approaches.
  • Contribute to the development of Data Analytics and Governance standards that others within the function will follow.
  • Perform advanced analysis of complex, ambiguous data issues where solutions are not readily apparent, recommending and executing corrective actions.
  • Provide thought leadership, guidance, and advisory support to stakeholders across Compliance and Technology.
  • Own the quality, timeliness, and delivery of data governance and analytics initiatives, including short-term planning and prioritization.
  • Appropriately assess and manage risk in business decisions, demonstrating strong consideration for Citi's reputation, regulatory obligations, and control environment, including escalation and transparent management of data control issues.

Required Qualifications
  • At least10+ years of experience in data analytics, data governance, or related roles, with hands-on experience supporting large, complex data sets.
  • Proven experience implementing Enterprise Data Governance, Data Quality, and Data Lineage, preferably within Compliance, AML, KYC, or Regulatory Reporting domains.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead CDGP or comparable enterprise data governance implementations delivering audit-ready outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of data integration, transformation, and lineage across complex enterprise architectures.
  • Excellent communication, diplomacy, and influencing skills to guide cross-functional stakeholders and senior partners.
  • Ability to resolve complex, highly variable problems requiring sound judgment and analytical rigor.
