RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking an experienced Business Analyst III (Remote) to lead the collaboration with business users in designing and documenting requirements for the implementation of a Wealth custodial platform. The ideal candidate will effectively bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring seamless integration of investment and wealth management processes, from account opening to back-office operations.
Summary:
This role demands strong communication, transparency, and accountability, as the analyst will prioritize tasks, provide proactive updates on progress, and take ownership of deliverables. Success hinges on the ability to understand broader objectives, anticipate needs, execute with minimal oversight, and flexibly pivot to support evolving business priorities-whether through requirements documentation, process mapping, testing support, or readiness activities. The candidate will act as a key liaison between business users, IT teams, vendors, and risk partners, ensuring clarity in requirements and fostering a culture of collaboration and results-driven execution.
Requirements Gathering, Analysis & Documentation:
* Partner with business stakeholders (e.g., account administrators, operations teams, reporting teams) to elicit, document, and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements for the custodial platform
* Translate configuration decisions into documented requirements that clearly articulate the business rationale, expected outcomes, and integration architecture across systems
* Document the rationale, assumptions, and control considerations underlying configuration and integration decisions for future reference, audit, and change management, ensuring traceability between configuration decisions and expected business outcomes
Integration of Business Support:
* Partner with business stakeholders to identify system integrations needed to achieve specific business objectives and operational outcomes
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5-9 years as a business analyst in wealth management, custody, or investment operations
* Prior experience with custodial platform implementations (e.g., SEI Wealth Platform, Charles River, or proprietary systems), particularly with cloud-based or SaaS solutions requiring configuration and integration work
* Experience documenting system integration requirements and translating business outcomes into integration architecture
* Experience documenting system integrations and defining integration requirements
* Experience supporting testing activities and quality assurance
* Deep understanding of investment products (e.g., equities, bonds, mutual funds), account types (e.g., advisory, custody, IRA, trust), and back-office functions (e.g., trade settlement, asset servicing)
* Familiarity with operational processes across multiple functional areas (e.g., operations, finance, risk, compliance)
* Strong expertise in process modeling tools (Visio, BPMN)
* Proficiency in requirements management tools
* Data analysis capabilities and ability to map data flows and integration points across systems
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities
* Demonstrated adaptability and ability to wear multiple hats and shift priorities to meet business needs
* Strong analytical mindset with ability to connect tactical configuration and integration decisions to strategic business outcomes
* Comfort engaging with risk and control perspectives to identify operational vulnerabilities and design appropriate mitigations
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with cloud-based platform implementations
* Experience working with operational risk and control functions
* Familiarity with wealth management regulatory frameworks
* Understanding of operational risk management principles
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
