Position: Developer, Specialist / Senior Lead Technical Developer
Location: Remote (US EST Time Zone) – Candidates in Raleigh, NC preferred but not required
Role Overview:
The Developer, Specialist performs thorough end-to-end analysis of complex business functionality, provides technical solutions for complex business requirements, and implements enterprise-grade software solutions. This role functions as an individual contributor, capable of working independently and within teams, and serves as the technical lead on development projects.

Project Milestones:
- Platform Security – Authentication microservice, JWT issuance and validation, AWS Gateway integration
- Core Microservices – Independently deployable Member, Case, Provider, Interaction services, Integration APIs for evoBrix, vendor integrations, data validation, and documentation
- Quality & Enablement – Shared libraries and C# service clients, Dockerized local/cloud setups, unit and integration testing, performance testing for critical APIs
- DevOps – Standardized CI pipelines with automated tests, GitOps-based CD with multi-service deployments, documentation, and knowledge transfer
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
• Serve as technical lead on development projects
• Provide development strategy and technical direction
• Coordinate software development and implementation activities
• Guide teams on proof of concepts and emerging technologies
• Evaluate technologies and recommend innovative solutions
• Identify and escalate risks/issues to leadership
• Contribute to technical best practices and documentation
Design & Architecture:
• Create conceptual designs and technical specifications
• Prepare enterprise technical solutions based on business requirements
• Participate in design sessions and finalize technical solutions
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders
• Develop process flows and system design documentation
• Work on third-party system integrations and enterprise APIs
Development & Quality Assurance:
• Conduct code reviews and mentor development teams
• Participate in peer reviews for technical designs and documentation
• Provide effort estimations and implementation planning
• Prepare implementation checklists and deployment strategies
• Identify security vulnerabilities and corrective action plans
• Ensure high-quality coding standards and best practices
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 10+ years of software development experience
• Strong SDLC/STLC and Agile/Scrum experience
• Healthcare industry and HIPAA compliance experience
• Experience with enterprise applications and microservices architecture
• Experience implementing and integrating COTS applications
Preferred Technical Experience:
• AWS / Cloud infrastructure
• Relational & NoSQL databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Cassandra)
• Linux/Unix environments
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Maven, SonarQube
