Summary

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced RF Shielded Walk-In Chamber Project Manager to serve as an independent contractor overseeing the full lifecycle of RF Walk-In Chamber installations at the laboratory site. This individual will be responsible for assessing two existing chamber installations in Boston, MA and Bedminster, NJ, determining the most cost-effective path forward (material salvage vs. new procurement), and managing all aspects of the construction and build-out at the directional site in Richardson, TX
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in RF-shielded enclosure systems, strong vendor and subcontractor management skills, and a track record of delivering complex technical construction projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
Vendor & Planning Coordination
Receive and review the RF Shielded Chamber vendor contact information plan provided by the customer
Receive and review the Design Plan for Rebuild/New construction at the designated site
Coordinate directly with vendors to assess the current condition and salvage potential of existing RF Walk-In Chambers at the Boston, MA and Bedminster, NJ exit sites.

Assessment & Cost Analysis
Manage the vendor assessment and quoting process across all exit sites (Boston, Bedminster) and directional sites (Richardson).
Evaluate and present a cost comparison between: (a) salvaging and transporting existing chamber materials from de-commissioned sites, and (b) procuring all new materials for the directional sites.
Provide a clear recommendation to stakeholders with supporting cost data and feasibility analysis.

Logistics & Materials Management
Coordinate and manage the delivery of all materials, whether transferred from exit sites to directional sites or sourced as new procurement.
Oversee logistics for de-commissioning materials at exit sites, including proper packaging, transport coordination, and receiving at the destination sites.
Track all materials and maintain accurate inventory records throughout the project lifecycle.

Construction Oversight & Labor Management
Coordinate, manage, and oversee all labor required to build the RF chamber site infrastructure in accordance with the approved design plan.
Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for vendors, subcontractors, and facility personnel during the build-out phase.
Ensure all work is performed safely, to specification, and within established timelines and budget parameters.
Proactively identify and resolve construction issues, schedule conflicts, or vendor performance concerns.

Reporting & Project Close-Out
Provide regular status updates to the Program Manager and relevant stakeholders on project milestones, risks, and progress.
Ensure full site completion is verified against the design plan and all quality standards are met.
Develop and deliver a comprehensive close-out package aligned with the PM build plan, including as-built documentation, vendor contacts, material records, and final sign-off documentation.

Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience managing the installation or build-out of RF Shielded / Anechoic Walk-In Chambers or similar specialized laboratory enclosures.
Strong background in construction project management, including vendor sourcing, subcontractor oversight, and budget management.
Experience coordinating multi-site logistics, including material transfer between facilities.
Ability to read and interpret technical design plans and RF chamber specifications.
Proficiency in project management practices including scheduling, reporting, risk management, and close-out documentation.
Local to the DFW area and willingness to be onsite in Richardson, TX
Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with vendors, subcontractors, facility stakeholders, and client representatives. Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working on carrier-related lab infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with RF testing environments, EMC compliance, and shielded room construction standards.
PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
Experience managing project close-out packages and as-built documentation for technical construction projects.
