Role Summary
This role involves managing the end-to-end installation and build-out of RF-shielded walk-in chambers at multiple laboratory sites. The project manager will oversee complex technical construction activities, coordinate vendor and subcontractor efforts, and ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The position requires expertise in RF-enclosure systems and strong leadership to deliver reliable laboratory infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with vendors to evaluate the condition and salvage potential of existing RF walk-in chambers at multiple sites.
  • Conduct cost analysis comparing salvage and refurbishment options versus new procurement, providing recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Manage logistics for the transfer of materials from de-commissioned sites to new locations, including transportation and inventory tracking.
  • Oversee construction activities, ensuring adherence to technical design plans, safety standards, and project timelines.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for vendors, subcontractors, and facility personnel during the build-out process.
  • Proactively identify and resolve construction issues, schedule conflicts, and vendor performance concerns.
  • Maintain regular project status updates, including risks, milestones, and progress reports for stakeholders.
  • Verify project completion against design specifications and quality standards during the final inspection phase.
  • Prepare comprehensive project close-out documentation, including as-built records, vendor contacts, and sign-off forms.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, technical, and operational standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience managing RF-shielded or specialized laboratory enclosure installations or build-outs.
  • Strong background in construction project management, including vendor sourcing and subcontractor supervision.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multi-site logistics and materials transfer.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting technical design plans and RF chamber specifications.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies, including scheduling, risk management, and documentation.
  • On-site availability in Richardson, TX, and willingness to work at the project location.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interfacing with vendors, stakeholders, and technical teams.
  • Familiarity with laboratory infrastructure or EMC testing environments is preferred.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential is a plus.
  • Ability to develop accurate project close-out packages and as-built documentation.
