RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Fort Lauderdale, FL that is seeking an experienced IT Manager with a strong Epic background to lead and support our Epic HBPB (Hospital Billing & Professional Billing) team. This role will replace a current manager and will be responsible for driving operational success, mentoring a growing team, and partnering closely with business stakeholders and consultants. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who understands both the technical Epic landscape and healthcare business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, manage, and support the Epic HBPB team, ensuring stability, performance, and continuous improvement
* Mentor and develop team members, including colleagues hired in 2024
* Partner closely with business and operational stakeholders to align Epic functionality with organizational needs
* Collaborate with an external Project Management consultant (remote) supporting active initiatives
* Maintain strong governance, organization, documentation, and prioritization across initiatives
* Provide leadership continuity while transitioning into an existing management function
* Serve as a key liaison between technical teams and business operations
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline
* 8+ years of IT experience with direct Epic application experience required
* Strong knowledge of healthcare business operations
* Proven experience managing, mentoring, and leading technical teams
* Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred/Bonus Qualifications:
* Master's degree (MSA or related field) strongly preferred and may offset years of experience
* Experience working alongside distributed teams or remote consultants
* Epic HBPB and claims experience is a major plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
