Role: Software Engineer (PeopleSoft Financials) Location: Remote (Pacific Time Zone) Duration: 5+ months (possible extension)
Overview: We are seeking an ambitious and talented Software Engineer to join our Applications, Technology, and Innovation group. The team supports Field and Global Financials operations and projects in PeopleSoft 9.x, leveraging API integrations, Lambda, AWS, automation, and other tools for file/document transfers. Key responsibilities include supporting critical integrations between PeopleSoft Financials, PeopleSoft HCM, Workday, Salesforce, and other applications, with a future roadmap to transition to Workday.

A successful candidate will analyze, design, build, test, implement, and modify software enhancements and/or new applications. They will complete SDLC documentation, collaborate with IT partners and users to define requirements, and support applications in the production environment. As part of the team, all engineers are required to join a weekly rotating schedule to support P1 issues outside of normal business hours.
Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, build, test, and implement software enhancements and new applications.
  • Complete SDLC documentation and procedures for all lifecycle phases.
  • Collaborate with IT partners and users to define requirements and modifications.
  • Provide production support, including off-hours support for P1 issues.
  • Support and enhance integration between PeopleSoft Financials, HCM, Workday, Salesforce, and other enterprise applications.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Engineering or related field ( MS in Engineering with 3+ years' experience also considered).
  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience within a medium-to-large IT organization.
  • 5+ years' experience in Integration technologies (API, web services, etc.) and proficiency in multiple programming/scripting languages ( C#, Java, JavaScript, SQL, XML).
  • Highly skilled in SQL with excellent database knowledge and ability to write complex queries.
  • Strong preference for experience with ERP/SaaS Financial modules (AP, AR, GL, Billing, PO) or in-depth knowledge of enterprise applications.
  • Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Hybrid, Waterfall).
  • PeopleSoft technical experience a plus.
  • AWS knowledge a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies, tools, and practices.
  • Understanding of n-tiered architecture and basic network concepts.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users and explain business processes to technical resources.
  • Ability to create complex process flow diagrams and design documents.
  • Skilled in designing business solutions for new processes and implementing complex enhancements.
  • Experience in mentoring and leading junior software engineers.
