The ideal candidate will bring extensive healthcare IT leadership experience, a strong operational and architectural background, and the ability to align technology initiatives with organizational goals, patient-centered outcomes, and long-term strategic growth.
Position Highlights

As the senior technical architect for the organization, the Deputy CIO will help drive innovation and operational excellence across a highly complex healthcare technology environment. This leader will guide enterprise-wide initiatives that support clinical operations, patient engagement, infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity, communications systems, and digital transformation efforts.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance visionary leadership with hands-on operational oversight while building strong relationships across executive leadership, clinical teams, and technical staff.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to application, engineering, and operations teams within Information Services
  • Support and execute the strategic technology vision established by the CIO
  • Ensure stable, secure, and efficient day-to-day operations of the enterprise technology environment
  • Lead enterprise architecture and systems application development strategies
  • Align technology solutions with organizational business goals and patient-centered outcomes
  • Oversee complex healthcare technology environments including:
    • Enterprise applications
    • IT operations and infrastructure
    • Communications systems (voice, data, and wireless)
    • Transaction processing and database administration
    • Information centers and multimedia applications
    • Electronic and optical storage environments
  • Ensure compliance with mandated regulatory and operational requirements
  • Drive performance improvement, innovation, and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify and implement technology solutions that improve organizational performance and patient care
What We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly experienced healthcare IT executive with a strong combination of strategic leadership, operational expertise, technical architecture knowledge, and team leadership experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to lead complex initiatives, influence organizational strategy, and foster collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups.
Education & Experience
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field plus eight (8) years of information systems experience, four (4) of which are in a supervisory capacity of a programming or technical support staff is required
    OR
  • Twelve (12) years of related experience with four (4) years in a supervisory capacity of a programming or technical support staff is required
  • Expert knowledge of both Enterprise Architecture and Systems Application Development is required
  • Must be proficient in planning, implementation, and administration of Healthcare Information Technologies
  • Should have experience with Project Management
