Position Description:
Role Overview
We are looking for a Product Manager with strong experience in government benefit delivery systems to drive the vision, roadmap, and execution of our public assistance software solutions. You will lead cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and SMEs to build modern, user-centric systems that streamline eligibility, enrollment, and benefit issuance for programs like SNAP, TANF, and WIC.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Vision & Roadmap: Define and drive the strategic roadmap for human services products, balancing client requirements, federal compliance mandates, and user needs.
- Agile Execution: Translate complex government policies and SME inputs into prioritized user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable sprint backlogs.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead engineering, design, and SME teams to design, build, and deploy high-impact tools for caseworkers and benefit recipients.
- Client & Vendor Management: Partner with state agency leadership, EBT processors, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless system interoperability and integration.
- Client Product Demos: Comfortable in working with team to create and conduct product/solution demos for potential clients
- Metrics & Modernization: Track product performance, user adoption, and system reliability to continuously modernize public assistance delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 4+ years of Product Management experience delivering enterprise or government software solutions.
- Domain Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of modern eligibility engines, document management systems, or EBT processing platforms for SNAP, TANF, or WIC.
- Contracting Background: Direct experience delivering software under state/federal government contracts (Agile/Scrum environments preferred).
- Skills: Strong familiarity with federal compliance frameworks (e.g., FNS regulations, NIST standards, HIPAA/PII handling).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
