We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Data Governance Lead to build, enable, and scale our enterprise data governance and stewardship capabilities. This role sits within our Global Technology Services (GTS) Data & Analytics division and is instrumental in operationalizing a federated data governance model across diverse business units. Your mission will be to ensure our data assets remain trusted, compliant, and optimized for downstream analytics and enterprise AI readiness.

responsibilities:
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for enterprise data governance and data stewardship, contributing directly to federated operating models, policies, standards, and procedures.
- Lead and execute business domain onboarding into the federated data governance model, including role enablement, training, and direct adoption of governance workflows.
- Manage high-priority data governance projects, specifically overseeing an enterprise data classification and tagging initiative aligned with the DOJ Data Security Rule (Executive Order 14117).
- Design and implement operational workflows for metadata enrichment, glossary curation, and data stewardship across platforms like Informatica, ServiceNow, and Jira.
- Enable streamlined data discovery and marketplace self-service by implementing an Enterprise Data Catalog & Marketplace.
- Supervise and lead managed service providers (MSPs) and provide strategic oversight, mentorship, and direction to junior Data Governance Center of Excellence (CoE) team members.
qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of dedicated professional experience in data governance, data stewardship, or enterprise data management.
Proven hands-on experience utilizing and configuring enterprise data governance platforms (specifically Informatica IDMC/CD Alation, Atlan, or equivalent suites).
Strong track record of driving corporate process adoption and influencing key stakeholders across a matrixed organization without having direct structural authority.
