Job DetailsJob Details:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Principal CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our dynamic team. As a Principal CNC Machinist/Programmer, you will be a key player in the production process, responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, creating and modifying programs, and ensuring that all parts meet the highest quality standards. You will be working with materials such as titanium, monel, and aluminum, and will play a crucial role in our ongoing process improvement efforts.
Responsibilities:
1. Set up and operate VTL CNC machines, ensuring that all parts are produced to the highest quality standards.
2. Create and modify CNC programs, using your extensive knowledge of machining processes and programming languages.
3. Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications, using precision measuring tools.
4. Work with materials such as titanium, monel, and aluminum, ensuring that all machining processes are carried out safely and effectively.
5. Contribute to our ongoing process improvement efforts, using your knowledge and experience to identify areas where efficiency can be improved.
6. Train and mentor junior machinists, sharing your expertise and helping to develop the next generation of CNC machinists.
7. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
8. Work closely with the production team, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience as a VTL CNC Machinist/Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
2. Extensive knowledge of and experience with materials such as titanium, monel, stainless, and copper.
3. Proven experience in process improvement, with a track record of identifying and implementing efficiency gains.
4. Excellent CAD/CAM programming skills, with a thorough understanding of programming languages (Fusion 360).
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and find effective solutions.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively train and mentor junior staff.
7. A strong commitment to safety, with a track record of maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
8. The ability to work well as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
