Genesis10 is currently seeking a Container Engineer - Hybrid for a 12+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This role focuses on engineering and developing the primary container base image catalog. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating cutting-edge, lean container images for lightweight runtimes using modern best practices such as Image Factory patterns and Tekton toolchains. This position requires adherence to zero-risk practices and CVE management.
Responsibilities: - Engineer and develop the primary container base image catalog
- Develop lean container images for runtimes including HTTP servers, Tomcat, lightweight OpenJDK, and in-memory databases
- Utilize modern container best practices like Image Factory patterns and Tekton toolchains
- Manage CVEs and implement zero-risk practices
Requirements: - Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker
- Proficiency in YAML and Cucumber
- Strong background in Linux Administration
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and CVE resolution
- Must be able to work a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite
Desired skills: - Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies
- Knowledge of Middleware and Databases
- Familiarity with Helm
Pay range: $67.29 - $75.29 per hour
