QA Engineer

Description
The PSQ Accessories team at Apple is responsible for inductive charging compliance testing across all phone products. Originally part of Powertech's QA organization, the team now sits under PSQ Accessories and owns the full inductive test system environment. This contractor will step into a gap created by a recent reorg and will be responsible for running and maintaining the team's existing QI compliance automation while identifying opportunities for improvement along the way.
Day-to-day work lives in the lab, M-F onsite in Cupertino. The role is heavily Python-based - all systems and QA tooling are developed in Python - and requires someone who can get up to speed quickly on the team's existing automation framework, understand the system holistically, and contribute improvements as they go. The work is less about building from scratch and more about owning what's already there while being resourceful enough to grow it.
The inductive charging environment has meaningful overlap with USB compliance testing (USB-PD, GRL systems), so candidates with that knowledge can translate well into this role. Core EE concepts around TX/RX interaction and wireless power transfer are central to the work.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
