Core Requirements
Senior SQL Server DBA / Database Architect experience
Able to make enterprise-level decisions around database architecture, scalability, governance, security, and maintainability.
Strong understanding of data modeling, normalization, indexing strategies, partitioning, and performance optimization.
Hands-on SQL Server expertise
Advanced T-SQL skills with the ability to review, refactor, and optimize complex stored procedures, functions, views, and queries.
Strong performance tuning experience using execution plans, indexing strategies, and root-cause analysis of database bottlenecks.
Data Integration & Pipeline Management
Proven experience designing and supporting enterprise data pipelines.
Strong background integrating SQL Server with ERP, manufacturing, warehouse, and external business platforms.
Experience with ETL/ELT processes, APIs, and data synchronization patterns.
Legacy System Modernization
Experience modernizing and migrating legacy applications and databases, particularly Microsoft Access and VBA-based solutions.
Ability to extract business logic from legacy applications and redesign it into scalable database or application architectures.
Manufacturing / BOM Experience
Experience working with Bills of Materials (BOMs), recursive hierarchies, product structures, manufacturing calculations, and related data models.
Understanding of the performance and architectural challenges associated with BOM processing.
Architecture & Technical Leadership
Able to provide architectural guidance, perform design reviews, and recommend long-term solutions balancing performance, maintainability, and scalability.
Comfortable acting as the technical authority for database-related decisions.
