About the Opportunity

Kforce is seeking an experienced salesforce solution architect to support a large-scale, greenfield Salesforce customer technology transformation for a regulated energy and utilities organization. The program is modernizing utility customer operations, customer programs, service experiences, data capabilities, integrations, and legacy Salesforce environments while reducing technical debt and preparing the future-state platform for production adoption.

The core technology landscape includes Salesforce Energy & Utilities Cloud, Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Data Cloud, OmniStudio with particular emphasis on OmniScript, the Salesforce Clean Energy Module, Salesforce Flow, enterprise integrations, data migration, security, release engineering, and quality engineering. SAP BTP and customer-facing APIs are part of the broader integration ecosystem. Agentforce or other Salesforce AI capabilities may be introduced as the broader AI strategy develops.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role that remains engaged from discovery and design through implementation, testing, release readiness, deployment, and production transition. All team members are expected to use client-provided or client-approved AI acceleration tools when appropriate for analysis, design, documentation, development, testing, and defect resolution. Each individual remains accountable for independently validating AI-generated outputs for accuracy, security, maintainability, privacy, and compliance.

Role Overview

The Salesforce Solution Architect will provide end-to-end solution leadership for the greenfield customer transformation. The role will align business capabilities and utility processes to Energy & Utilities Cloud, OmniStudio and OmniScript, the Clean Energy Module, Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Data Cloud, integrations, data migration, security, and enterprise architecture standards. This is a hands-on architecture role that remains engaged from discovery and solution shaping through implementation guidance, testing, release readiness, deployment, and production transition.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead end-to-end solution architecture for a greenfield Salesforce customer transformation.

2. Define target-state architecture across Energy & Utilities Cloud, OmniStudio and OmniScript, the Clean Energy Module, Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Data Cloud, integrations, data migration, security, and release strategy.

3. Translate utility customer processes, customer programs, clean-energy offerings, eligibility rules, and legacy business logic into scalable solution designs without carrying forward unnecessary technical debt.

4. Determine when requirements should be addressed through standard platform capabilities, OmniScripts, Flow, Data Cloud, integrations, custom development, or process change.

5. Align Salesforce architecture with SAP BTP, customer APIs, enterprise systems, security, data governance, accessibility, and operational support standards.

6. Lead architecture and design reviews, resolve cross-workstream decisions, validate implementation quality, and remain engaged through testing, deployment, and production transition.

Required Qualifications

1. 10+ years of relevant enterprise delivery experience, including principal-level ownership of complex architecture decisions, risks, and outcomes.

2. Deep Salesforce solution architecture experience across complex enterprise implementations and greenfield transformations.

3. Demonstrated solution architecture and implementation experience with Salesforce OmniStudio and OmniScript, including guided experiences, reusable patterns, integration considerations, and platform tradeoffs.

4. Strong experience with Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Data Cloud, Salesforce data models, security and sharing, automation, integrations, data migration, and environment strategy.

5. Experience evaluating standard versus custom solutions, managing legacy modernization, and guiding distributed delivery teams through implementation.

6. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to facilitate decisions and explain architecture, risks, and tradeoffs in clear business language.

7. Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments with cross-functional onshore and offshore teams.

8. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain decisions, document risks and dependencies, and collaborate directly with business and technology stakeholders.

9. Experience using enterprise-approved AI-assisted tools where appropriate, with independent validation of outputs.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with Salesforce Energy & Utilities Cloud and/or the Salesforce Clean Energy Module in utility customer information system, clean-energy, or regulated-industry transformations.

2. SAP BTP, MuleSoft, customer APIs, event-driven architecture, or enterprise data-platform experience.

3. Salesforce Application Architect, System Architect, Energy & Utilities Cloud, OmniStudio, Service Cloud, or Data Cloud credentials.
