Business Process Expert with SAP PP

We are seeking an experienced Business Process Expert (BPE) to lead and optimize SAP-driven manufacturing processes within a chemical/process manufacturing environment. This role will drive end-to-end process design, standardization, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment between business operations and SAP capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the lead business process owner for SAP manufacturing processes across the organization
• Analyze current production workflows, identify gaps, and design optimized end-to-end processes using SAP best practices
• Drive standardization and harmonization of manufacturing processes across plants or business units
• Provide deep functional expertise in SAP Production Planning (PP / PP-PI) and its integration with MM and QM
• Manage and optimize key manufacturing objects including:
  • Process Orders
  • Bills of Materials (BOMs) / Recipes
  • Routings and production master data
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and system integrators to ensure successful delivery of process improvements
• Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and training materials
• Conduct end-user training and support change management to ensure adoption
• Define and track manufacturing KPIs and performance metrics, leveraging data to drive continuous improvement
• Support testing activities (UAT, integration) and post-implementation stabilization

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in SAP Manufacturing / Production Planning (PP or PP-PI)
• Strong experience in chemical or process manufacturing industry
• Hands-on expertise with:
  • Process Orders
  • BOMs / Recipes
  • Routings
  • Production master data
• Proven experience in business process design, optimization, and transformation
• Strong understanding of integration with MM and QM modules
• Ability to bridge business and IT stakeholders effectively
• Experience leading workshops, gathering requirements, and driving solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with process mining tools (e.g., Celonis)
• Experience with reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI)
• Prior experience in multi-plant or global manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with SAP ECC (S/4HANA exposure is a plus)
