About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced
Application Systems Analyst to support and optimize a suite of software applications used within a post-acute healthcare environment. This role focuses on application support, implementation, optimization, and end-user enablement for home health and hospice operations.
You will serve as a key liaison between clinical users, vendors, and IT partners-ensuring applications are reliable, secure, and aligned with operational needs. This position is part of a dedicated IT team supporting a healthcare services division.
What You'll Do - Act as the primary point of contact between end users, vendors, and IT teams for assigned applications
- Ensure applications are functional, available, secure, and meet organizational and user requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, including root-cause analysis and documented resolutions
- Test software releases and configurations to validate functionality and compliance with requirements
- Analyze workflows and recommend system and process improvements
- Develop and execute test plans, scripts, and validation models
- Deliver end-user training, documentation, and ongoing education (one-on-one and classroom-style)
- Support application-related projects, including timelines, stakeholder coordination, and implementations
- Partner with users to understand business and security needs and implement appropriate solutions
- Recommend and help maintain standard policies, procedures, and best practices
- Support application operations, including interfaces and special processing as needed
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Required Qualifications - Associate's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in Information Systems, application support, or a related technical role
- Strong understanding of client/server application environments
- Experience supporting or implementing enterprise software applications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-service mindset
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in post-acute healthcare (home health and/or hospice)
- Experience with healthcare-focused applications (HCHB strongly preferred)
- System administration and/or application implementation experience
- IT project coordination or project management experience
- Experience developing and delivering user training and technical documentation
Work Environment & Schedule - Hybrid work schedule available after completion of initial training
- On-site presence required for meetings, training, and collaboration as needed
