Job Title: Back-end Developer (Magento / PHP)
Required Skills
- Backend Development.
- Strong PHP development experience.
- Strong experience with Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce architecture and development.
- Experience building and supporting custom Magento modules, APIs, and integrations.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software development best practices.
- Experience working with MySQL and database design concepts.
- Experience consuming and developing REST APIs.
- Experience using Git-based source control systems (GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.).
- Platform & Operations
- Experience troubleshooting application issues across multiple environments.
- Understanding of application security, scalability, and reliability principles.
- Experience working within Agile development teams (Scrum/Kanban).
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, etc.) to improve productivity, code quality, and problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in B2B eCommerce environments Experience with Node.js development.
- Experience with AWS services and cloud-hosted applications. Ability and willingness to contribute to frontend development when needed.
- Experience with JavaScript, Vue.js, Knockout.js, HTML, and CSS. Experience with Docker and local development environments.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving application performance issues, including API latency, database bottlenecks, caching strategies, and Magento performance optimization.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as New Relic, Datadog, CloudWatch, or similar platforms.
Work Site: Remote
Duration: Long-term Contract
