We are seeking an experienced MDM Technical Specialist to serve as the technical owner of our Tamr Master Data Management (MDM) platform. The specialist will be responsible for the technical design, configuration, integration, administration, and ongoing operation of Tamr across multiple master data domains, including Product/Model, Asset/Standard, Organizations, Locations, and Contacts.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in MDM, data engineering, Python, REST APIs, entity resolution, data integration, and cloud data platforms. Hands-on Tamr experience is strongly preferred; experience with Reltio, Informatica MDM, or comparable enterprise MDM platforms will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical implementation and configuration of Tamr MDM.
- Configure schemas, attributes, source connections, matching models, and golden records.
- Develop and tune ML-based entity resolution and matching models.
- Build data ingestion and integration pipelines using Python, REST APIs, Python SDK, and JSON.
- Integrate ERP, CRM, Field Service, and other enterprise source systems with Tamr.
- Build and maintain golden-record pipelines to Azure Data Lakehouse, Databricks, and Delta Lake.
- Perform data profiling, normalization, transformation, and schema mapping.
- Monitor ML model performance and support model tuning/retraining.
- Implement active-learning and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Support onboarding of new MDM domains and source systems.
- Configure multi-domain relationships and hierarchies.
- Provide production support and resolve platform/integration issues within SLAs.
- Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, integration specifications, and operational runbooks.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, MDM, or related technical roles.
- 2+ years of experience with an enterprise MDM platform in production.
- Hands-on Tamr experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with Reltio, Informatica MDM, or equivalent MDM platforms considered.
- Strong Python development experience.
- Experience with REST APIs and JSON.
- Experience building data integration pipelines with cloud data platforms.
- Knowledge of entity resolution, deduplication, record linkage, data quality, and golden records.
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Tamr certification or formal Tamr training.
- Azure Data Lakehouse / Azure Data Lake / Databricks / Delta Lake experience.
- ML-based entity resolution experience.
- Active learning or human-in-the-loop ML experience.
- Manufacturing, distribution, or field-service industry experience.
- Multi-domain MDM relationship configuration experience.
