Pay Rate: $70–$80/hour, depending on experience
Client: Confidential technology company, supported by Russell Tobin

About the Role

Russell Tobin is hiring an Order Management & Billing Operations Contractor to support a fast-growing technology client. This role will provide critical order management and billing operations support for expanding international sales teams.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with quote-to-cash operations, order management, marketplace private offers, billing readiness, pricing validation, and Salesforce-based order workflows. This person will work cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Billing, Product Marketing, Cloud Partner teams, and internal operations teams to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently.

This is a fully remote 6-month W2 contract role. Candidates must be located in the Eastern Time Zone to provide coverage across U.S. and Ireland-based teams.

Responsibilities

  • Process and provision sales-assisted orders end-to-end, including reviewing executed Order Forms in Salesforce, validating commercial terms against approved pricing, and provisioning customer access across first-party surfaces such as API organizations and enterprise/workplace products using Metronome and internal admin tools.
  • Create and manage third-party marketplace private offers across platforms such as AWS Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI, and Azure Foundry. This includes translating contracted pricing and committed spend terms into marketplace-native offer structures, coordinating buyer acceptance with Account Executives, and managing the offer lifecycle through amendments and renewals.
  • Support model-launch pricing operations by issuing net-new and amendment private offers at scale across multiple commercial surfaces when new AI models become generally available. This work will require strong attention to detail, speed, and coordination with Product Marketing and cloud partner teams during tight launch windows.
  • Perform quality reviews on processed orders, including peer quality control checks, provisioning accuracy reviews, contract-to-system reconciliation, and validation that order data is complete and clean for downstream billing and reporting.
  • Contribute to special projects and process build-out as needed, including SOP development, marketplace tooling improvements, automation initiatives, bulk offer issuance, vendor integrations, pricing reconciliation, and operational readiness for new products, regions, and legal entities.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in order management, billing operations, revenue operations, deal desk operations, quote-to-cash, marketplace operations, or a related commercial operations function.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce order workflows, executed order forms, pricing validation, contract review, and downstream billing requirements.
  • Experience supporting SaaS, cloud, AI, enterprise software, or usage-based technology products is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud marketplace private offers, especially AWS Marketplace, Google Cloud Marketplace, or Azure Marketplace, is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Metronome, billing systems, revenue systems, internal admin tools, or provisioning platforms is a plus.
  • Strong ability to interpret commercial terms, committed spend, pricing structures, amendments, renewals, and order documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail, quality control mindset, and ability to identify discrepancies between contracts, systems, and billing data.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Billing, Product Marketing, and partner teams.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, launch windows, and evolving processes.
  • Must be based in the Eastern Time Zone and able to support overlap with Ireland-based teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with high-growth technology, AI, machine learning, SaaS, or cloud infrastructure companies.
  • Prior experience supporting international sales expansion or global order operations.
  • Experience building or improving SOPs, process documentation, marketplace workflows, or order automation.
  • Background working with product launches, pricing changes, amendments, renewals, or bulk order/private offer issuance.

Why This Role Is Open

The client’s international sales organization is expanding rapidly, and additional order management support is needed to provide dedicated coverage across global time zones. Most current order management support is U.S.-based, so this role will help create better coverage for international teams, especially those working with Ireland.
