Summary

Oracle Cloud HCM Workstream Lead - Time & Labor / Absence Management with top Oracle Solutions Consultancy

Role: Oracle Cloud HCM Workstream Lead - Time & Labor / Absence Management (Onshore)
Industry: Technology / Oracle Cloud HCM Implementation
Location: United States (Remote, US-based consultant required)
Duration: 9 to 12 months

Pay rate: $58 - $64.50/HR

Our client is a US-based Oracle Cloud HCM implementation partner delivering high-touch, full-lifecycle programs for North American enterprises. They are seeking an onshore Functional Workstream Lead to own end-to-end delivery of the Time & Labor (OTL) and Absence Management workstreams across one or more active US client implementations. This is a senior, US-based, fully client-facing role: the consultant will lead client design sessions, partner directly with the engagement principal, and represent the senior Oracle functional voice in the room. Configuration depth alone is not sufficient - this role requires the ability to run a workshop, manage a client steering review, and constructively push back on client requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client design workshops for Time & Labor and Absence Management, from current-state analysis through future-state design sign-off
  • Partner with the engagement principal in client steering committee reviews and status updates
  • Author and maintain configuration workbooks, design documents, and decision logs for both modules
  • Configure Oracle Cloud HCM Time & Labor end-to-end: Time Entry Layouts, Time Calculation Rules, Time Categories, Time Rules, Time Rule Sets, Time Consumers (Payroll, Project Costing), Layout Components, Approval Rules, Repeating Period Sets, Holiday calendars
  • Configure Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management end-to-end: Absence Plans, Absence Types, Eligibility Profiles, Bands, Repeating Periods, Plan Use Rules
  • Author, debug, and tune Fast Formulas across Accrual, Entitlement, Qualification, Eligibility, Vesting, Carryover, Payout, Time Calculation, and Time Entry Rule formula types
  • Configure multi-state US compliance scenarios including state-specific overtime, sick leave, paid family leave, and FMLA tracking
  • Set up integration touchpoints to Oracle Cloud Payroll, Core HR, and Workforce Management
  • Build and execute SIT and UAT scenarios, lead defect triage within workstream scope
  • Train client SMEs and administrators on configuration, ongoing administration, and post go-live maintenance
  • Manage workstream timeline, dependencies, and weekly status reporting
  • Coordinate with offshore configuration support resources assigned to the workstream
  • Advise the client on Oracle best practice and constructively push back where client requirements would produce poor future-state designs, technical debt, or compliance risk
  • Support cutover planning and provide hypercare support post go-live

Requirements

  • US-based consultant (W2 or EOR through WorkGenius)
  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on Oracle Cloud HCM implementation experience (Oracle Cloud, not EBS; implementation, not AMS)
  • At least 3 full lifecycle implementations of Oracle Cloud HCM Time & Labor in a workstream lead capacity
  • At least 2 full lifecycle implementations of Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management
  • Documented US client workstream lead scope - workshop facilitation, design sign-off, client steering reviews
  • Multi-state US compliance experience across California, New York, New Jersey, and Texas at minimum
  • Demonstrated Fast Formula authoring depth across Time and Absence formula types
  • Working proficiency with HDL, HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader, OTBI, and BI Publisher
  • Strong workshop facilitation, design documentation, and stakeholder management skills - native or near-native English
  • 40 hours per week with full US business hours availability
  • Bachelor''''s degree in Computer Science, HR Technology, or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle Cloud HCM Time & Labor or Absence Management certification
  • Oracle Cloud Payroll exposure
  • Experience with Oracle Workforce Management (WFM) cloud
  • Big 4 or major SI alumnus (Accenture, Deloitte, PwC, IBM, Cognizant, Infosys, TCS, Capgemini)
  • Industry depth in hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, or retail
