We are looking for a visionary Data Program Manager to lead our enterprise-wide data transformation initiative at a top-tier insurance company. This executive-level role will oversee the modernization of our data ecosystem using Fabric and cloud technologies, enabling advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven decision-making. The Data Director will define the strategic data vision, establish governance frameworks, and drive measurable business outcomes across our insurance operations including claims, underwriting, actuarial science, and customer experience..

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the enterprise data strategy to support business transformation, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and governance of the next-generation data platform leveraging Fabric and cloud-native architectures.
  • Partner with executive leadership across business domains (claims, underwriting, actuarial, marketing, and compliance) to align data initiatives with corporate strategy.
  • Establish and chair the Data Governance Council, embedding strong practices around data quality, lineage, security, and stewardship.
  • Oversee strategic initiatives including data democratization, self-service analytics enablement, and AI/ML adoption.
  • Manage multi-million-dollar program budgets, vendor partnerships, and resourcing at enterprise scale.
  • Drive cultural and organizational data literacy, ensuring employees at all levels can access and leverage trusted data assets.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on data program progress, risks, and business impact to the Board and C-Suite.
  • Champion innovation in predictive analytics, automation, and digital insurance solutions leveraging scalable data platforms.
  • Lead efforts to define, build, and maintain a scalable semantic model and business intelligence layer

Requirements

  • 18+ years of progressive leadership experience in data strategy, engineering, or analytics, with at least 5 years in executive or director-level roles.
  • Proven leadership of large-scale data transformation programs in insurance, reinsurance, or financial services.
  • Expertise in Fabric, cloud data platform Azure, and modern architectures (Lakehouse, data mesh, streaming).
  • Deep understanding of insurance business models and regulatory environments
  • Strong track record of driving adoption of AI, advanced analytics, and machine learning into business processes.
  • Exceptional executive communication skills, with ability to influence the Board, business leaders, and technology teams.
  • Recognized leader in building high-performing cross-functional data organizations.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or related discipline preferred.
