Job Description
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with NextView LMS, warehouse productivity engineering, Lean methodologies, and labor analytics. This position requires strong operational leadership, analytical capabilities, and the ability to drive measurable efficiency improvements across distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Labor Standards
- Conduct detailed time and motion studies using statistically valid methodologies.
- Develop and improve engineered labor standards across warehouse operations.
- Perform labor performance analysis, elemental breakdowns, and validation testing.
- Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and preferred work methods.
Labor Management System (LMS)
- Configure and maintain NextView LMS standards, task mappings, and assignments.
- Validate LMS logic, engineered paths, and operational workflows.
- Support LMS troubleshooting, reporting, and payroll interface issues.
- Ensure alignment between LMS, WMS, and operational execution.
Continuous Improvement & Analytics
- Analyze productivity, utilization, quality, and labor variance metrics.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Drive Lean initiatives including Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, and 6S programs.
- Develop KPI reports and productivity benchmarking dashboards.
Incentive Program Management
- Design and implement performance-based incentive compensation programs.
- Define payout structures, performance thresholds, and productivity qualifiers.
- Monitor incentive effectiveness and operational impact.
Training & Operational Support
- Train supervisors and operations teams on labor standards and LMS functionality.
- Provide technical guidance on productivity metrics and operational reporting.
- Support deployment activities across multiple distribution sites.
Process Optimization
- Analyze warehouse layouts, workflows, and travel paths using AutoCAD.
- Improve operational efficiency through layout optimization and waste reduction.
- Support standardization initiatives across warehouse operations.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Maintain detailed engineering and operational documentation.
- Promote safe equipment usage and PPE adherence.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in warehouse operations, industrial engineering, logistics engineering, or labor standards.
- Experience implementing engineered labor standards and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Strong hands-on experience with NextView LMS or similar Tier 1 LMS platforms.
- Experience implementing incentive-based compensation programs.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and labor analytics.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
