Summary

Key Responsibilities:

Install, terminate, label, and test structured cabling systems (CAT6/CAT6A, fiber optic SM/MM)
Support cabling for LAN, WiFi, voice, CCTV, access control, nurse call, and medical devices
Perform cable testing, certification, troubleshooting, and remediation
Maintain accurate as-built documentation, labeling, port mapping, and rack layouts
Coordinate with network, desktop, biomedical, and facilities teams during deployments and upgrades
Support hospital IT projects including wards, clinics, labs, OTs, data centers, and clinics
Ensure adherence to hospital safety, infection control, and change management standards
Work within defined SLA, incident, and service request processes

Technical Skills:

Hands-on experience in structured cabling (Copper & Fiber)
Knowledge of fiber splicing, OTDR testing, and cable certification tools
Experience with racks, patch panels, cable trays, and conduits
Basic understanding of network connectivity and LAN infrastructure
Ability to read floor plans and network diagrams
Healthcare Environment Experience (Preferred):
Experience working in live hospital or clinical environments
Understanding of patient safety, infection control, and low-voltage systems
Ability to work in 24x7, mission-critical operations

Experience & Qualifications:

2 5 years experience in structured cabling or network infrastructure
Healthcare, hospital, or mission-critical environment experience preferred
