Summary:
The Company is seeking a Supply Chain Security Specialist to support security and compliance initiatives across transportation, warehousing, manufacturing, and asset disposition operations. This role combines programmatic security responsibilities with incident response activities and focuses on implementing security standards, conducting assessments, improving compliance, managing stakeholder relationships, and supporting supply chain security operations. The ideal candidate can manage multiple workstreams, collaborate effectively across teams, adapt to changing operational needs, and contribute to the continuous improvement of security programs.
 
Responsibilities
  • Assess existing security processes, measures, and controls across supply chain operations, including warehousing, transportation, manufacturing, network services, and asset disposition activities.
  • Implement transportation and warehouse security requirements and standards across business teams, carriers, vendors, and third-party partners.
  • Conduct security assessments of warehouse facilities against established security standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Recommend corrective actions and track remediation efforts through completion.
  • Support the deployment and expansion of shipment tracking technologies and ensure stakeholders are trained on proper usage.
  • Identify and engage internal and external stakeholders involved in supply chain operations to support security compliance efforts.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to recommend security enhancements and monitor implementation progress.
  • Provide security guidance during procurement and vendor selection processes to help align contractual requirements with security standards.
  • Support warehouse launch and operational readiness activities by validating security preparedness.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of security awareness and training materials for operational teams.
  • Track, maintain, and report compliance status across assigned security programs and operational environments.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation supporting logistics and supply chain security incidents.
  • Monitor shipment tracking systems, sensor outputs, and alerts for potential security concerns.
  • Investigate incidents involving theft, loss, tampering, seal compromises, route deviations, unauthorized access, and other supply chain security issues.
  • Coordinate with carriers, vendors, operational teams, and security stakeholders to gather information and support incident resolution.
  • Document incident findings, root causes, corrective actions, and remediation plans.
  • Escalate significant incidents through established reporting and response procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to strengthen supply chain security operations and compliance.
 
Education Requirements
  • Relevant education, training, certifications, or equivalent practical experience in security, logistics, supply chain operations, asset protection, investigations, law enforcement, military operations, or related field.
 
Experience Requirements
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects, workstreams, or operational initiatives.
  • Experience implementing security standards, controls, policies, or compliance programs.
  • Experience conducting assessments, audits, inspections, or security reviews.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, vendors, carriers, suppliers, or third-party partners.
  • Experience preparing reports, documenting findings, and communicating recommendations.
  • Ability to respond to operational issues in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience in transportation security, logistics security, warehouse security, cargo security, asset protection, investigations, or related security functions is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience conducting investigations, gathering evidence, interviewing stakeholders, and producing findings reports.
  • Knowledge of intelligence collection, threat monitoring, open-source intelligence, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Understanding of freight operations, carrier management, GPS tracking systems, chain-of-custody controls, and security for goods in transit.
  • Familiarity with physical security controls for technology hardware, infrastructure equipment, and data-bearing devices.
  • Understanding data center security concepts and security best practices.
  • Knowledge of data-bearing device handling, sanitization requirements, and chain-of-custody procedures.
  • Familiarity with tracking and monitoring technologies, telematics platforms, geofencing solutions, electronic seal programs, CCTV systems, and access control systems.
  • Certifications such as TAPA familiarity, C-TPAT experience, ASIS PSP, ASIS CPP, CFI, or similar security-related credentials.
  • Experience in industries such as third-party logistics, freight brokerage, electronics distribution, luxury goods, pharmaceutical supply chains, consumer products, autonomous technologies, or large-scale infrastructure supply chains.
 
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $60.00 - $65.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
