PLM Consultant – Windchill
Location: Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite in Minnesota
Duration: Long-term contract opportunity (open for W2 and H1B Transfer) 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Windchill Solution Architect / Technical Consultant to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Windchill PLM solutions. This role will be responsible for translating business requirements into scalable technical architectures, guiding development and infrastructure teams, and ensuring successful end-to-end delivery of PLM capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Windchill solution architectures for implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.

• Create scalable, high-performance technical solutions aligned with business objectives.

• Define PLM data models, workflows, and integrations to optimize engineering and manufacturing processes.

• Lead installation, configuration, customization, testing, performance tuning, and deployment activities.

• Analyze business requirements and recommend best-practice technical solutions.

• Oversee development of workflows, UI customizations, and data structures.

• Manage data migration activities including ETL, transformation, validation, and cleansing.

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize application performance.

• Conduct code reviews and technical signoffs.

• Communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

• Follow established software development lifecycle and documentation standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7–10+ years of experience with Windchill PLM configuration and customization.

• Strong expertise with Windchill PDMLink including:

  • Parts Management

  • BOM Management

  • Document Management

  • Change Management

• Strong understanding of part configuration management.

• Experience integrating PLM systems with downstream ERP and MES platforms.

• Hands-on experience in Windchill architecture, development, and customization.

• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading enterprise PLM implementations or modernization initiatives.

• Knowledge of manufacturing and product engineering workflows.

• Experience with data migration and enterprise integrations.
