Role: Data Engineer (Synapse)

Location: Bellevue, WA

Our team is looking to add strong Data Engineers with good SQL and Azure Analytical skills.

Development activities:
    Ability to gather and understand requirements by studying features/ user stories created for requirements and work on implementing them. Design and development for the change requests from client. Ability to analyze existing data flow and suggest for any enhancements/ improvements based on technical expertise. Preparing test scenarios/ test cases for the user stories and sharing the unit testing results as part of the development completion.
Operations activities:
    Monitor data extract, transform, and load (ETL) jobs, pipelines and work to fix the job failures. Troubleshooting to identify data issues and solving any data discrepancies and providing business intelligence insights. Provide support to the users on any data related questions/issues reported during UAT and PROD cycles.

Technical skills:
Expertise/ at least 7+ years of experience in
    Microsoft SQL Server
      Database and ETL design concepts T SQL SQL server Analysis server Fluent in DAX queries (good to have)
    Azure Synapse - including creating scripts for ETL using Python(pyspark) Experience with excel - includes creating data pivots to different sources for analyzing Good to have prior experience with Microsoft projects, process, and tools (like VSTS, VSO)

Bachelor's Degree
