Applications Analyst (Epic Willow Inpatient)
Our client is seeking an experienced Applications Analyst with a strong background in Epic Willow Inpatient to support and enhance pharmacy-related workflows within a complex healthcare environment. This role will partner closely with clinical and technical teams to design, build, and optimize system functionality that improves medication management and overall operational efficiency.

Applications Analyst Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, build, and ongoing optimization of Epic Willow Inpatient functionality, including medication records and order sets.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy stakeholders, clinicians, and IT teams to align system capabilities with operational needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a key liaison between business units and technical teams, translating clinical workflows into scalable system solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes through system enhancements, automation, and workflow redesign.
  • Support system configuration, testing, implementation, and post-go-live optimization efforts.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across integrated systems and drive resolution in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to project planning, documentation, and execution across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication with cross-functional teams, including vendors and external partners.


Applications Analyst Qualifications

  • Epic Willow Inpatient Certification is required.
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on Epic Willow build experience, including medication record and order set configuration.
  • Experience supporting pharmacy workflows within an Epic EHR environment strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, clinical workflows, and application lifecycle management.
  • Proven ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language for diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams in complex, multi-system environments.
  • Solid analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with HL7 interfaces or integrations is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
