This role supports the clinical backload and technical cutover work for a Regional Medical Center acquisition. The Project Manager will plan, coordinate, and track all backload and cutover activities, partnering with technical teams and clinical stakeholders. This position requires strong organization, planning discipline, and the ability to learn new tools and workflows quickly in a fast paced environment.
Specialty Role Justification
This position requires specialized experience in clinical cutover and backload processes for EHR transitions. The role directly supports the technical and clinical integration of a Regional Medical Center into Ascension systems, requiring specific exposure to healthcare cutover workflows, clinical data backloading methods, and coordination across Epic/Cerner environments.

Responsibilities
- Lead planning efforts for all clinical backload and technical cutover activities.
- Coordinate work across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Develop clear, detailed documentation to track all steps, tasks, timelines, and dependencies.
- Manage cutover workstreams and maintain alignment across clinical, technical, and operational groups.
- Facilitate team meetings, assign tasks, track progress, and provide follow-ups.
- Identify risks, issues, and blockers; drive remediation plans.
- Support go-live planning; may travel for onsite support (5-10 days total).
- Adapt quickly to evolving processes, priorities, and timelines.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records according to Ascension processes and standards.
- Communicate clearly with leaders, technical teams, and clinical partners.
- Contribute to a cohesive team environment; work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high change project space.
qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience
- 3-4 years of Project Management experience.
- Experience with clinical cutover, clinical backload, or healthcare IT transitions.
- Ability to learn new tools, applications, and processes quickly.
- Strong organization, planning, documentation, and resource coordination skills.
- Detail oriented with the ability to track complex workflows and dependencies.
- Excellent communication skills; able to adapt communication to technical and non technical audiences.
- Experience operating within fast-paced projects with shifting timelines.

Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification.
- Prior Epic or Cerner cutover/implementation experience.
- Experience supporting go-live activities.
- Experience working in a large healthcare environment.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree required (Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or related field preferred).
- PMP certification preferred.
