Role Overview:
We are seeking a senior SAP Testing Manager to lead the end-to-end test management workstream for an SAP implementation. The selected resource will establish and govern the testing approach, organize test planning and execution, manage test scripts and results, coordinate defect management, and provide clear reporting to project leadership.

The project will include three test cycles. While the total number of test scripts has not yet been finalized, the Testing Manager must be comfortable creating structure and visibility in an evolving project environment. This is a senior role for an experienced testing leader with a proven record of successfully managing complex SAP test cycles; it is not intended as a first-time or junior-level test management assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the overall testing strategy, plan, governance model, schedule, and execution approach for three planned test cycles.
• Define the test lifecycle, entry and exit criteria, testing milestones, reporting standards, defect workflow, and readiness checkpoints.
• Organize and maintain test scenarios, test scripts, test data requirements, execution assignments, results, evidence, and approvals.
• Coordinate the creation, review, refinement, and approval of test scripts with functional leads, business process owners, technical teams, and project management.
• Track test-script execution progress, pass/fail results, blocked scripts, retests, outstanding defects, and test-cycle readiness.
• Lead defect triage meetings and coordinate prioritization, ownership, root-cause analysis, resolution, retesting, and closure.
• Ensure appropriate traceability between business requirements, process scenarios, test scripts, defects, and test results.
• Provide concise, accurate, and timely test-status reporting to the Project Manager, functional leads, and client stakeholders.
• Identify testing risks, dependencies, resource constraints, environment issues, data issues, and schedule impacts; escalate them with recommended mitigation actions.
• Coordinate with functional, integration, data migration, security, and technical teams to ensure full end-to-end coverage.
• Support user acceptance testing readiness, business tester onboarding, execution coordination, issue resolution, and formal acceptance activities.
• Contribute to cutover and go-live readiness by confirming test completion, defect status, outstanding risks, and approval decisions.
•  Establish a practical testing operating model even before the final number of test scripts is known.

Required Qualifications:

• Senior-level SAP test management experience, including direct ownership of testing workstreams for SAP implementations.
• Demonstrated track record leading multiple SAP test cycles, including planning, script development, execution management, defect management, retesting, and executive reporting.
• Experience managing system integration testing, end-to-end integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, and go-live readiness activities.
• Strong knowledge of test management methodologies, test planning, risk-based testing, entry and exit criteria, defect severity and priority models, and test metrics.
• Experience with SAP implementation programs involving multiple functional workstreams, integrations, data migration, security, reporting, and technical dependencies.
• Ability to coordinate business users, functional consultants, developers, integration teams, and project leadership in a structured and collaborative manner.
• Proven ability to manage ambiguity, build testing structure from the ground up, and adapt the plan as script volumes and scope become clearer.
• Excellent organization, written communication, facilitation, stakeholder-management, and escalation skills.
• Experience using test and defect management tools such as SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Solution Manager, Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM/Quality Center, or equivalent platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing testing for SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP Public Cloud, warehouse management, supply chain, or logistics-focused implementations.
• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology, SAP Cloud ALM, and cloud release/testing practices.
• PMP, Scrum, ISTQB, SAP Activate, or comparable project/test management certification.
• Experience supporting distributed teams and remote business testers across multiple locations.
