Summary

Overview

This position is responsible for maintaining network hardware and software. This includes security, trouble shooting and installation between PC and servers. He/ she serves as the liaison between software venders and end users.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to and maintains system standards.
  • Researches and recommends innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identifies inefficiencies and makes recommendations and replacements as needed.
  • Manages data center and facility infrastructure including but not limited to servers, switches, monitoring, environmental and security systems.
  • Provides support in performance monitoring, reporting, problem identification, management, and resolution.
  • Ensures that daily backups are running according to company policy.
  • Develops plans for hardware, systems operations, and technical procedures; provides input for disaster recovery and security plans.
  • Troubleshoots SQL Server performance issues and works with developers to resolve issues.
  • Provides higher level support per request from various constituencies.
  • Develops and maintains installation and configuration procedures.
  • Creates and maintains documentation to identify server hardware, software configuration, and connectivity.
  • Performs regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
  • Ensures satisfactory delivery of all projects.
  • Occasionally performs weekend work.
  • Works to ensure compliance of all company policies and procedures are maintained.
  • Actively supports and complies with all components of the compliance program, including, but not limited to, completion of training and reporting of suspected violations of law and Company Policy.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information; abides with HIPAA and PHI guidelines at all times.
  • Reacts positively to change and performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of industry and experience
  • Strong desire to excel and achieve results
  • Strong urgency and able to practice a high level of confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling and rules of composition
  • Ability to work effectively independently and with senior management and other team members
  • Ability to organize and complete work in a timely manner

Minimum Qualifications
  • 1-2 years experience preferred
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred
