Job Summary:
The AI & Data Project Manager (Contractor) is responsible for leading and coordinating enterprise AI, data, and advanced analytics initiatives across the health system. This role manages the delivery of strategic data and artificial intelligence projects including analytics platforms, machine learning implementations, data governance initiatives, and enterprise data
products.
The position partners closely with clinical, operational, financial, and technology leaders to ensure AI and data initiatives are delivered on schedule, within scope, and aligned with organizational strategy and governance standards.
The AI & Data Project Manager oversees the full project lifecycle from planning through implementation, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, and adoption of enterprise data capabilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads planning and execution of AI, data, and analytics initiatives including data platforms, AI model deployment, and enterprise analytics solutions.
- Coordinates the full lifecycle of AI and data projects from initiation through closure using the Project Management Framework.
- Defines project scope, deliverables, success criteria, timelines, and budgets.
- Manages crossfunctional teams including data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and operational leaders.
- Tracks project milestones and ensures delivery of AI and analytics capabilities on schedule.
- Identifies risks and develops mitigation strategies related to data quality, integration, governance, and adoption.
- Coordinates integration across enterprise systems including Epic, Oracle, Strata, Power BI, and other platforms.
- Supports enterprise data governance initiatives including stewardship and data quality programs.
- Oversees delivery of AI and analytics product releases including dashboards and predictive models.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements supporting clinical, operational, financial, and strategic analytics initiatives.
- Maintains project documentation including charters, roadmaps, plans, and postimplementation reviews.
- Tracks portfolio metrics for AI and data initiatives.
- Supports organizational change management to drive adoption of AI and analytics capabilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
Minimum Education Level: Bachelor s Degree
Area of Study: Information Systems, Data Science, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
Alternate Qualifications: Bachelor s degree; or Associate degree and 2 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience requirement; or HS Diploma/GED and 4 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience requirement.
