Job Title: AI Project Manager
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an AI Project Manager to join our client to lead strategic AI initiatives and guide cross-functional teams through complex technical programs. This role will drive AI/ML projects from concept through deployment, ensuring outcomes align with business goals, regulatory needs, and operational readiness. The ideal candidate will blend strong project leadership with the ability to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions. This contract position is based in Lionville, PA but can be remote.
Compensation:
$80–$85/hr
Work Schedule:
Standard business hours, Eastern Time preferred.
Key Responsibilities of the AI Project Manager:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of AI and enterprise technology initiatives, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timelines.
- Guide teams in defining business needs, shaping AI/ML requirements, and establishing measurable success criteria for each project.
- Coordinate with technical, data science, and engineering teams to advance AI models, pilots, proofs of concept, deployments, and post-launch performance tracking.
- Anticipate and mitigate AI-specific risks such as data quality, security, compliance, bias, and model explainability.
- Manage vendor relationships and lead change-management efforts to ensure smooth adoption across stakeholder groups.
Qualifications and Skills for the AI Project Manager:
- A degree in a relevant discipline is preferred, though equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- 8–10+ years of project management experience with strong governance knowledge.
- Background in IT leadership (5–8 years), plus experience in manufacturing, distribution, or operations environments (2–5 years).
- Proven track record delivering AI/ML, analytics, or other data-driven solutions using Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies.
- Experience advising organizations on AI readiness, strategy, or Agile coaching best practices.
