Strong experience with Python and/or Java building production backend services
Deep comfort with SQL analytical queries, performance tuning, working across multiple database engines (Snowflake, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or similar)
Experience with event-driven architectures Kafka, Azure EventHub, or equivalent messaging systems
Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred) secrets management, blob storage, identity, and CI/CD pipelines
Ability to effectively use AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT) to accelerate delivery writing, reviewing, debugging, and testing code faster while maintaining quality and understanding of the output
