Description
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a Long-term Contract opportunity in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will work within an Agile Scrum setting, partnering with stakeholders and delivery teams to shape clear requirements and keep work moving efficiently through each sprint. This position is ideal for someone who can turn business needs into actionable documentation, support team alignment, and help ensure solutions meet expected outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to uncover needs, evaluate priorities, and document functional expectations.
Convert business objectives into well-structured user stories that give development teams clear direction for execution.
Establish detailed acceptance criteria that support quality development, validation, and successful testing outcomes.
Maintain and refine the Jira backlog by updating items, supporting prioritization, and preparing work for upcoming sprints.
Facilitate backlog review discussions and contribute to sprint planning to improve readiness and delivery flow.
Analyze current business processes, identify operational gaps, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
Work closely with Scrum team members throughout the sprint cycle to answer questions and resolve requirement-related issues.
Assist with solution validation and testing activities to confirm delivered functionality aligns with business expectations.
Monitor progress against sprint objectives and project timelines, helping teams stay focused on committed deliverables.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in business analysis within Agile Scrum delivery environments.
Strong ability to gather, interpret, and document business and functional requirements.
Proven skill in writing user stories and defining effective acceptance criteria.
Hands-on experience managing or refining product backlogs in Jira.
Knowledge of business process mapping and gap analysis techniques.
Ability to collaborate effectively with business partners, developers, testers, and Scrum team members.
Strong communication, organization, and analytical problem-solving skills.
