Role and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate Samsung internal, external, and multiple vendor resources to provide optimum manufacturing support on assigned equipment, including equipment installation/de-installation projects, and standard maintenance activities. Drive hard down and atypical tool recovery efforts with hands on engineering and complex maintenance activities. Investigate, troubleshoot, and provide technical solutions to equipment related defect, quality, and yield, applying complex mathematical principals to solve problems. Analyze and report tool performance data, including availability, mean time to repair, mean time between failures, particle and defect trends, maintenance success, and similar metrics for assigned equipment. Innovate and implement new techniques and systems to improve assigned metrics such as safety, cost, wafer outputs, equipment availability, equipment efficiency, product defectivity, overall tool quality, and other metrics assigned. Document these improvements through Best Known Methods, Standard Operating Procedures, action trackers, and weekly reports. Support new device introduction, and technology transfer from Samsung sister factories. Attend and contribute to daily tactical meetings with internal and external teams regarding photolithography equipment. Attend strategic cross-functional weekly meetings regarding equipment metrics and contribute to improvement plans. Responsible for multiple tools and will be required to make tactical decisions based on his assessment of the daily operations environment in order to achieve KPI.
Skills and QualificationsMaster's degree in Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or a related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Requires 24 months of experience involving the following:
1. ASIC/SoC design/development at sub-system or chip level;
2. Physical design flow including gate level netlist, floor planning, partitioning, power planning, placement synthesis, and/ or routing;
3. Synthesis and Timing analysis;
4. Test/verification plan creation;
5. Post silicon bring-up;
6. Verification of unit-level blocks or full chip code coverage analysis/closure;
7. Microcontroller logic design;
8. Functional verification of microprocessor hardware systems;
9. Defect monitoring, characterization, and root cause analysis;
10. Reviewing equipment designs; and
11. Semiconductor equipment design R&D.
The current base salary range for this role is between $142,014 to $162,014. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
