Collaborate with the Architect team on project initiatives and support of network tools.

Architect, design, configure, test, implement, review, and support LAN solutions across enterprise systems, including Cisco switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, F5 load balancers, Cisco ISE, Cisco NAC, and emerging network technologies.

Architect, design, configure, test, implement, review, and support on-premise and cloud networking solutions.

Manage the lifecycle of existing network facilities, ensuring reliability and support through strategic planning and roadmaps.

Identify technical requirements and develop cost-effective solutions to meet business needs, improve productivity, and support business growth.

Automate tasks where possible and validate new requests against existing architecture for compatibility and alignment with business needs.

Develop and communicate architecture policies, standards, guidelines, procedures, and metrics.

Ensure designs and implementations meet security and QA standards, analyze root causes of issues, and recommend fixes.

Provide daily support by resolving escalated tickets, performing proactive maintenance activities, and implementing operational fixes and upgrades.

Maintain existing Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Stay updated on the latest technology trends and advancements in networking.

Minimum of 6 years of experience as a technical network engineer or architect in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting network solutions.

Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment (routers, switches, wireless controllers, firewalls, Cisco ISE, Cisco NAC) and F5 load balancers.

Hands-on with Cisco routing and switching, SD-WAN/Access, Cisco Any connect VPN.

Good understanding and working knowledge of TCP/IP, access-control lists, VPNs, SSL, IPSEC, DNS/IPAM, OSPF and SDWAN

Ability to support network operations and troubleshoot complex network issues.

Experience working with internal and external teams, analyzing their needs, and translating business requirements into effective network solutions.

Hands-on experience applying architectural principles, managing product lifecycle plans, developing business cases, and evaluating new technologies or proof of concepts.

Excellent communication, leadership, teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
-
Proficiency in scripting and infrastructure as code, using tools like Ansible.
-
Knowledge of cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
-
Familiarity with directory services such as LDAP, DNS, and Active Directory.
-
Experience with CMDB, ServiceNow, and change management processes.
-
Proficiency with SolarWinds for network and server monitoring, including configuring alerts and dashboards.
-
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
-
Familiarity with the utility industry is a plus.

Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, and CCIE, as well as relevant certifications like ITIL, CompTIA Security+, or Network+, are preferred.
