Job Summary
We are seeking an Engineer II, Manufacturing for a contract-to-hire opportunity supporting manufacturing process improvements in a regulated production environment in the Gary and Highland, IN area. This onsite role is ideal for a Manufacturing Engineer with hands-on experience in process optimization, validation, root cause analysis, CAPA support, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing process improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, reliability, and compliance.
- Assist with validation activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ documentation and execution.
- Perform root cause analysis and support CAPA investigations for production and quality-related issues.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to identify process risks and implement corrective actions.
- Use Lean, Six Sigma, OEE, and continuous improvement methods to improve manufacturing performance.
- Create, update, and maintain engineering documentation, process records, and technical support materials.
Compensation:
- Pay rate: $35 to $40 per hour, W2.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support manufacturing process optimization and production improvement projects.
- Execute and document validation activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ.
- Support CAPA investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve quality, compliance, and operational performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM field.
- 2 to 4 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- Knowledge of process improvement, Lean/Six Sigma, OEE, CAPA, and manufacturing best practices.
- Ability to work in a regulated production environment with strong attention to documentation and compliance.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with process validation, including IQ, OQ, and PQ.
- Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other FDA-regulated manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks.
