Job Description
The Oracle Cloud FSCM / EPM BI, Reporting & Dashboard Analyst is responsible for the design, development, management, and support of enterprise reports and dashboards for Oracle Cloud Financials (FSCM) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) applications.
This role delivers operational, analytical, executive, and regulatory financial reports and dashboards using Oracle BI Publisher (BIP), Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), and Oracle EPM reporting tools.
The analyst partners closely with Finance, Budget, Accounting, Grants, and leadership teams to deliver accurate, secure, and actionable financial insights.
As a member of the Finance Strategy and Operations team, the analyst supports data-driven decision-making and contributes to a collaborative, accountable, transparent, and inclusive culture.
This position is required to be on-site, with alternative work options available as a benefit.
• Design, develop, administer, and support financial and EPM reports and dashboards using Oracle BI Publisher, OTBI, and EPM reporting tools.
• Build interactive OTBI dashboards for General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Assets, Grants, Budget, and executive leadership reporting.
• Design dashboards with KPIs, trend analysis, drill-downs, and visualizations for budget vs. actuals, cash flow, and financial performance.
• Develop complex SQL queries, data templates, and RTF layouts to support operational, analytical, and regulatory reporting.
• Support EPM reporting for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Budget, and EPM stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document reporting and dashboard requirements.
• Develop and manage scheduled, burst, and ad hoc reports ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
• Troubleshoot data accuracy, reconciliation, performance, and visualization issues.
• Support testing and validation of reports and dashboards during Oracle quarterly updates and EPM implementation phases.
• Ensure compliance with university data governance, audit, and security standards.
Architecture, Governance & Continuous Improvement (15%)
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Oracle Cloud FSCM and EPM reporting and dashboard best practices.
• Maintain a financial reporting and dashboard catalog including KPI definitions, data lineage, and security roles.
• Identify opportunities to standardize dashboards, improve reporting efficiency, and reduce duplication.
• Stay current on Oracle analytics enhancements and roadmap updates relevant to finance operations.
Participation & Collaboration (10%)
• Participate in Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM implementation, optimization, and upgrade initiatives.
• Support change management, documentation, and cross-training efforts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required. Additional job-related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Minimum five to seven years of experience developing and supporting Oracle Cloud FSCM and/or EPM reports and dashboards.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle BI Publisher (BIP) for enterprise financial reporting and support.
• Strong SQL skills for querying Oracle Cloud FSCM and EPM data models, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated experience designing and supporting interactive dashboards using Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI).
• Ability to design dashboards with KPIs, prompts, drill-downs, filters, and visualizations aligned to financial and executive needs.
• Understanding of Oracle Cloud data security, role-based access controls, and audit/compliance requirements.
• Ability to translate functional business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and well-documented reports and dashboards.
• Experience supporting production reports and dashboards, including issue resolution, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.
• Strong documentation and communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in complex enterprise environments.
• Higher education or public-sector finance experience.
• Oracle EPM implementation or integration experience.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, FERPA, HIPAA, SOC 2, or TAC 202.
