Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of BI developers, reporting analysts, and data engineers
Support hiring, onboarding, and resource allocation for analytics initiatives
Drive a high-performance, collaborative, and accountable team culture
Delivery & Program Management
Manage BI delivery pipelines and work queues, including:
Requirement definition
Data analysis
Development, testing, and deployment
Oversee end-to-end execution of analytics projects ensuring timely delivery and quality

Data Architecture & Engineering
Serve as the lead architect for enterprise data warehouse and analytics solutions
Design, optimize, and govern data models in Snowflake
Drive performance tuning and cost optimization strategies
Lead development and deployment of dbt (Data Build Tool) models and automated pipelines
Business Intelligence & Reporting
Architect and deliver datasets, dashboards, and reports using:
Power BI
Sigma or similar tools
Translate business requirements into scalable reporting solutions, KPIs, and dashboards
Enable executive-level reporting and actionable insights

Advanced Analytics
Lead initiatives involving predictive and prescriptive analytics
Support integration of machine learning models into analytics workflows
Data Governance & Quality
Define and enforce data governance standards, metric definitions, and data quality frameworks
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and documentation across systems
Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive business data

Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with stakeholders across:
IT, Finance, Merchandising, Supply Chain, HR, and Operations
Act as a trusted advisor for analytics and reporting needs
Drive BI adoption and conduct user training sessions where required
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization
Perform root cause analysis for data anomalies and implement corrective actions
Support ad hoc analysis and executive-level reporting
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Data/Business Analytics, or related field
15+ years of overall IT experience
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, Power BI, SQL, and modern BI platforms

Technical Expertise
Strong hands-on experience with:
Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning)
Power BI (dashboarding, data modeling, governance)
dbt (Data Build Tool) (data transformation and pipeline orchestration)
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Groovy
Familiarity with APIs and tools like PowerShell, cURL, and Postman
Strong SQL and data warehousing expertise
Domain Experience
Proven experience in Retail or CPG data environments, including:
POS data
Inventory and replenishment
Merchandising and promotions
Customer analytics
Cloud & Platform Knowledge
Hands-on experience with Azure technologies (ADF, Azure SQL, Functions, etc.)
Strong understanding of modern data architecture and analytics engineering best practices
Preferred Skills
Experience integrating data across retail channels (eCommerce, stores, supply chain, wholesale)
Exposure to machine learning or advanced analytics in cloud environments
Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery models
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data transformation initiatives

Self-driven, hands-on, and capable of operating independently
