Position Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled SAP Technical Lead with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA development and integration technologies. In this client-facing role, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical track of SAP implementations. You will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution, leading teams to deliver high-quality RICEFW objects, scalable integrations, and robust architectural designs. You will act as the technical authority on projects, mentoring teams and ensuring alignment with both IBM best practices and client business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Team Management
Lead and mentor a team of SAP ABAP, Fiori, and Integration (PI/PO/CPI) developers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
Conduct design and code reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards, performance optimization, and best practices.
Act as the primary technical escalation point for project teams, providing guidance on complex technical issues.
Collaborate with Project Managers to define scope, create accurate estimations, and allocate technical resources effectively.
Solution Design & Architecture
Translate functional specifications (from FI, CO, MM, SD consultants) into high-quality technical designs and architecture blueprints.
Design end-to-end solutions leveraging SAP S/4HANA, including ABAP development (Reports, BAdIs, Enhancements, Forms) and Fiori/UI5 applications.
Define technical strategies for data migration, system refreshes, and transport management.
Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with the client s long-term IT strategy.
Development & Customization
Oversee the development of custom ABAP code, ensuring efficient use of modern SAP technologies (CDS Views, OData Services).
Guide the team in building intuitive SAP Fiori applications using SAPUI5, adhering to Fiori design principles.
Manage the delivery of RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) objects, ensuring timely and high-quality completion.
Integration Management
Architect and oversee complex integrations between SAP S/4HANA and third-party or legacy systems.
Manage the configuration and development of integration flows using SAP Process Integration (PI/PO) and SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI / SAP Integration Suite).
Define and manage various interface types, including IDoc, SOAP, REST, and ODATA, ensuring robust and secure data exchange.
Project Lifecycle & Governance
Support the entire project lifecycle, from blueprinting and realization through to go-live and post-production support.
Ensure comprehensive unit and integration testing is performed, and manage the defect resolution process.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to optimize existing systems and processes.
Required Technical Skills & Experience
Experience: 8-15 years of experience in SAP technical roles, with a proven track record of leading teams in full-cycle implementations.
Core Development: Expert proficiency in ABAP (Reports, BADI, User Exits, Module Pool, ALE/IDoc). Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, ABAP on HANA, and CDS Views.
Fiori/UI5: Experience in developing SAP Fiori applications and OData service development.
Integration: Deep hands-on experience with SAP PI/PO (Process Integration/Orchestration) and SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) / SAP Integration Suite. Strong understanding of APIs, SOAP, REST, and web services.
Architecture: Strong understanding of SAP technical architecture, NetWeaver, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) capabilities.
Methodologies: Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and Agile/Scrum practices.

Preferred Qualifications
