Summary

Role: Project Coordinator/Manager

Location: McLean, VA (Onsite)

Duration: 4+ Months

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Looking for a Senior Project Coordinator/Manager with good experience in Fixed-Income, Capital Markets processes and data (e.g., trade lifecycle, settlements, market data, financial instruments).
  • Need someone with solid experience in stakeholder management skills; experience collaborating with cross-functional teams. Who has good verbal and written communication skills, with ability to present complex information clearly. Who is proficient in preparing management reports and executive-level presentations (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).

Job Description

7+ years of experience as a PM. 3-5 years of experience with counter party risk- this experience must be recent. Fixed income product knowledge and a solid background in fixed income finance, financial accounting, and capital market is required. Must have prior experience working with risk, trading, market risk stakeholders with a thorough understanding of front-to-back trade lifecycle. Strong skills in Excel, analytical reports, data analysis, and Stakeholder Coordination. Candidates must be comfortable working in environments requiring flexibility and resilience. Soft skill: Ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, strong communicator who has experience communicating to senior leadership, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

  • Analyze, interpret, and visualize data to support business decisions within capital markets processes.
  • Coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and deliverables.
  • Prepare clear, concise management reports and executive presentations for status and milestone updates.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across business and technical teams to gather requirements, manage expectations, and communicate progress.
  • Track project progress, identify risks/issues, and propose solutions to keep initiatives on track.
  • Support process improvements by analyzing current workflows and recommending data-driven enhancements.
  • Ensure documentation of project requirements, changes, and outcomes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of capital markets operations, products, and data flows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in finance, Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 4-8 years of relevant experience as a Data Analyst, Project Coordinator, or similar role in Financial Services industry.
  • Strong understanding of capital markets processes and data (e.g., trade lifecycle, settlements, market data, financial instruments).
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills; experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Proficient in preparing management reports and executive-level presentations (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and project management software (e.g., JIRA, MS Project) is a plus.
