Summary

We are seeking a Network Engineer with strong hardware experience to support a large retail client’s Store infrastructure validation efforts. This role will work in a lab environment testing store technology, network connectivity, and hardware devices before deployment across retail locations.

The ideal candidate will have experience with network troubleshooting, store hardware integration, and POS ecosystem devices.

Key Responsibilities

Support POS rollout initiatives by validating store hardware and network connectivity in a lab environment
Configure, test, and troubleshoot network-connected retail devices and peripherals
Validate hardware performance and network compatibility before store deployment
Work with store technologies including:
- Handheld scanners and mobile devices
- POS terminals
- Printers and payment devices
- Cameras and other retail peripherals
Troubleshoot network connectivity, device communication, and system performance issues
Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and deployment teams
Document testing procedures, results, and remediation steps

Required Skills

Experience as a Network Engineer or Network Support Engineer
Strong understanding of network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLANs, DHCP, DNS)
Experience working with hardware devices and peripherals
Familiarity with POS systems and store technology
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Ability to work independently in a lab/testing environment
