Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mainframe Developer with strong hands-on experience in mainframe application development, maintenance, and production support. The ideal candidate should have experience working with enterprise applications, batch processing, and database systems.

Required Technologies

• Programming Languages: COBOL, JCL, CICS.

• Database: DB2, SQL.

• Mainframe Platform: IBM z/OS, TSO/ISPF.

• Batch Processing: Batch jobs, job scheduling, and production support.

• Transaction Processing: CICS transaction processing and online application development.

• Utilities: SORT, IDCAMS, VSAM, File Manager, and common mainframe utilities.

• Debugging and Testing: Abend analysis, debugging, unit testing, and performance tuning.

• Version Control and Tools: Endevor, ChangeMan, or similar mainframe change-management tools.

• Integration: Experience with APIs or distributed systems integration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.

• Design and support batch processing and CICS-based applications.

• Write and optimize SQL queries and database operations.

• Troubleshoot production issues, job failures, and application abends.

• Perform unit testing, debugging, and code reviews.

• Support application releases, deployments, and production maintenance.

• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and other developers.

• Maintain technical documentation and follow development standards.
