Title: Supply Chain Planning Analyst

Type: Contract - 6+ Months

Seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planning Contractor to support end-to-end planning activities with a focus on SAP Integrated Business Planning (SAP IBP). This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining executable supply plans, ensuring planning data integrity, evaluating supply risks, and supporting cross-functional decision-making across manufacturing and supply chain operations. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Commercial, Clinical, Materials Management, and Product Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment between demand, capacity, inventory, and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support supply planning activities within SAP IBP, including demand and supply balancing, scenario modeling, exception management, and supply commitment reviews.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze supply plans to support commercial, clinical, and non-GMP manufacturing operations.
  • Convert demand forecasts, inventory targets, production constraints, and operational assumptions into actionable supply plans.
  • Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to ensure production plans support on-time, in-full delivery objectives.
  • Create rough-cut capacity plans, evaluate resource constraints, and provide finite scheduling inputs to support manufacturing execution.
  • Identify and proactively communicate supply risks, inventory shortages, capacity constraints, and planning data issues, along with recommended mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in planning governance processes, including daily tier meetings, Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE), and cross-functional supply reviews.
  • Maintain and validate SAP and SAP IBP master data, including materials, locations, lead times, planning parameters, and related attributes.
  • Support product lifecycle planning activities, including new item setup, master data changes, approvals, implementation, and obsolescence management.
  • Develop and maintain planning metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools to monitor supply plan performance, inventory health, schedule adherence, and data quality.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support product launches, budget planning, forecasting updates, scenario evaluations, and supply risk assessments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning processes, system utilization, and overall supply chain performance.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of supply chain planning experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Hands-on experience using SAP Integrated Business Planning (SAP IBP) for supply planning and scenario analysis.
  • Experience managing planning master data and planning processes within SAP ERP and SAP IBP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex supply chain data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional planning processes involving manufacturing, operations, procurement, and commercial teams.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and supply chain analytics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) processes.
  • Experience supporting capacity planning, inventory management, and production scheduling activities.
  • Familiarity with supply chain performance metrics, dashboard development, and reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing process improvements within planning organizations.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and facilitate cross-functional decision-making.
