The primary focus of this engagement is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current Oracle WMS environment and facilitate a seamless transition of responsibilities to an offshore delivery team. The consultant will act as a bridge between current state operations and future state managed services.
Core Responsibilities:
Operational Shadowing & Analysis: Act as a shadow resource to (existing WMS resource) gain a deep understanding of the engagement's complexity, the criticality of specific WMS workflows, and the technical interdependencies within the Oracle EBS R12 environment.
Comprehensive Documentation: Systematically document all functional processes and technical objects encountered during daily activities. This includes custom objects related to shipping interfaces, and site-specific warehouse configurations. The documentation for every custom object is already present, need to connect the dots.
Gap Analysis & Resource Modeling: Based on the gathered documentation and observed workload, perform a capacity analysis to estimate the required headcount and specific skill sets (Functional vs. Technical) needed for a successful offshore replacement.
Offshore Enablement: Lead the formal Transition-In phase by providing structured Knowledge Transfer (KT) sessions to the offshore team, ensuring they are equipped to handle US and Canada operations within the required service level agreements (SLAs).
Final Handoff & Validation: Conduct final technical reviews and "reverse KT" sessions to validate that the offshore resources are fully prepared to take over day-to-day support, troubleshooting, and custom development.
