Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite)

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Adobe AEM Architect to design, implement, and guide enterprise-scale digital experience solutions using Adobe Experience Manager. The ideal candidate will have strong architectural knowledge of AEM Sites, AEM Assets, and AEM as a Cloud Service, along with extensive experience integrating AEM with enterprise applications and modern cloud-based platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and implement scalable AEM architectures for large enterprise digital experience platforms, covering AEM Sites, AEM Assets, and AEM Cloud Service.
Design solutions using Apache Sling, OSGi, HTL/Sightly, Java, REST APIs, and related AEM technologies.
Establish architecture standards, design patterns, and technical frameworks that support scalability, maintainability, performance, and reliability.
Lead architecture and solution-design workshops with business, technical, and engineering stakeholders.
Develop detailed solution blueprints, technical architecture documents, integration designs, and implementation roadmaps.
Review existing AEM solutions, identify architectural gaps, and recommend improvements to enhance performance, security, and maintainability.
Design and oversee integrations between AEM and CRM, e-commerce platforms, Adobe Experience Cloud, APIs, and third-party enterprise applications.
Drive CI/CD and deployment automation for AEM environments using modern DevOps practices.
Establish strategies for AEM performance optimization, caching, scalability, availability, and efficient content delivery.
Ensure AEM implementations follow appropriate security, access control, and enterprise governance standards.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to AEM developers and engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
Collaborate with development, DevOps, infrastructure, security, and product teams to ensure successful delivery of AEM solutions.
Participate in technical and architecture reviews and provide guidance on complex implementation decisions.
Support pre-sales activities, including solution discussions, technical presentations, estimates, proposals, and customer engagements for AEM implementations.
Provide architectural guidance during implementation, deployment, production support, and platform modernization initiatives.

Required Expertise:

Extensive hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) in enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of AEM Sites, AEM Assets, and AEM as a Cloud Service.
Advanced understanding of Java, Apache Sling, OSGi, HTL/Sightly, and REST APIs.
Proven experience designing enterprise integrations involving CRM, e-commerce, Adobe Experience Cloud, and third-party systems.
Strong background in CI/CD, DevOps, deployment automation, and cloud-based AEM implementations.
Demonstrated experience with architecture design, solution blueprints, architecture reviews, and technical leadership.
Strong understanding of AEM performance tuning, scalability, security, and enterprise deployment strategies.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with technical and business stakeholders.
Experience mentoring engineering teams and providing technical direction on complex AEM projects.
Experience supporting client-facing and pre-sales engagements for large-scale AEM solutions is highly desirable.
